This private and FREE 7-week design circle is an opportunity to create, learn, and gain a one-of-a-kind experience into the publishing industry.
You will learn the process of book design, hear from publishing professionals, and create a finished project(s) that will go in your portfolio with an extended resume and cover letter review.
All meetings will be held virtually through Google Meets (and not recorded).
Week 1 – Foundations of the Publishing Industry & Tools
Adobe setup: Install Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; configure them for book work
Typography basics: Font categories, pairing principles, hierarchy
Group chat: First check‑in—introductions, goals, software setup feedback
